CNC MACHINIST III (B Shift)

LISI Aerospace•Garden Grove, CA

About The Position

The CNC Machinist III uses analytical and technical knowledge to operate CNC lathe machines that manufacture fittings, maintaining consistent operations and product quality in accordance with specifications and standards. The role works from blueprints, manufacturing orders, work instructions, and established guidelines, and operates under general supervision with latitude for creativity. It may also include technical coaching of trainees and operators, but has no supervisory responsibilities. The machinist sets up machines, selects materials and tooling, prepares tool kits, maintains part dimensions using inspection instruments, and verifies conformity to specifications. The role also supports continuous improvement, machine troubleshooting and maintenance, CNC programming and tool-life studies, workload planning, and communication of machine status between shifts. The position requires compliance with company, government, and HSE requirements, participation in HSE training and activities, and reporting safety concerns and non-conformances. The work is performed in a manufacturing unit where noise is usually loud. Physical demands include extended standing, walking, frequent hand and arm use, bending and reaching, and handling loads up to 30 pounds.
