LISI•Garden Grove, CA
•$28 - $35

About The Position

The CNC Machinist III uses analytical and technical knowledge to operate CNC lathe machines used to manufacture fittings, maximizing efficiency while maintaining consistent operations and product quality in accordance with specifications and standards. The role involves setting up and operating machines, selecting materials and tooling, measuring parts, verifying conformance, troubleshooting equipment and programming issues, and supporting continuous improvement. The Machinist III also communicates machine and setup status during shift handoffs, prioritizes work, and may provide technical coaching to less experienced operators. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, experience in a fittings manufacturing environment, and at least five years of combined technical education and experience. Technical schooling and advanced CNC programming knowledge are preferred. The role uses CNC programming software and languages, including Okuma and Tornos, as well as Microsoft Word, SPC, and departmental Shop Floor System applications. The job is performed in a manufacturing unit where noise is usually loud. It frequently involves standing for extended periods, walking, speaking or listening, repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity, and bending, reaching, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds. Employees are expected to follow and promote health, safety, and environmental procedures, report hazards and non-conformances, and support efforts to reduce environmental impact and workplace risks.
