About The Position

Fulmer/Perma-Cast (Wabtec) is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate a variety of machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, special purpose machines, machining centers, and some conventional equipment. This role also involves setting up and adjusting machine tools, including presets. The position is Monday through Friday, on-site, with occasional overtime required. The company focuses on building high-quality Transportation & Power Generation Brush Holders, Permanent Mold Castings, and Specialty CNC Machining and Manufacturing.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years experiences in CNC operations and conventional machining.
This position requires accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
Training and/or experience using measuring equipment and reading drawings is needed.
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
Must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Fanuc control experience desired
Journeyman or apprentice papers preferred

Responsibilities

Produces and assures quality of parts (utilizing necessary measuring gages and equipment) and machine parts on all machines.
Operates CNC lathes and mills and multiple machining centers.
May operate conventional machines as needed.
Reads and studies blueprints and job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instruction such as feed rate, cutting speed, depth of cut, fixtures and cutting tools to be used.
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
Programs and/or edits CNC machinery.
Adhere to Wabtec Code of Conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
