About The Position

Donson Machine is hiring an entry-level CNC support team member for its family-owned medical device manufacturing business. The employee will work in a department such as saw, tool crib, assembly, polishing, maintenance, or shipping. Based on productivity, work ethic, and attitude, the employee may have the opportunity to enter Donson’s nine-week training bootcamp and progress toward a CNC machinist role in the lathe, mill, or EDM departments. The company describes its workplace as focused on providing employees a safe place to enjoy their workday and build technical and personal skills. The position is located in Alsip, Illinois. Day shift is 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; night shift is 4:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Overtime is available.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Two years of job experience; part-time or summer jobs are acceptable for recent graduates.
Be punctual and maintain an excellent attendance record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk up to 90% of the day.
Ability to bend, twist, turn, and reach up to 100% of the day.
Ability to work in a shop environment with continuous exposure to potentially hazardous metalworking machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, mist, oils, and solvents.
