About The Position

As a member of the Corewell Health nursing team at Pine Ridge, the CNA provides patient care according to individual care plans, unit routines, and facility policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Unit Manager, or licensed nurse, the CNA supports residents and patients with daily care and helps maintain a safe, functional care environment. Pine Ridge provides services including short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, 24-hour skilled nursing, hospice and respite care, restorative care, and certified wound care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a State of Michigan-approved CNA training course.
• Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems Nursing Assistant credential required upon hire for Pine Ridge.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required within 90 days; the posting notes an exclusion for hospice roles, with a separate requirement for Hanson Hospice Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or a licensed nurse, consistent with unit policies and procedures.
• Provide assigned residents and patients with day-to-day care, including dressing, bathing, transporting, and feeding.
• Document care provided as directed and in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintain patients’ environments, work areas, and equipment; communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete and maintain the required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participate in selected unit quality-monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
