About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or a Licensed Nurse, following unit policies and procedures. The role provides day-to-day care to assigned residents and patients, documents care, maintains the patient environment and equipment, completes required CNA education, and participates in selected unit quality monitoring activities.

Pine Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, 24-hour skilled nursing, hospice and respite care, restorative care, and certified wound care. The facility is located on Hansen Care Park’s wooded property and includes private and semi-private rooms, rehabilitation areas, walking paths, and other resident amenities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
• Michigan State Nursing Assistant Certification required within 120 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with unit policies and procedures.
• Provide day-to-day care to assigned residents and patients, including dressing, bathing, transporting, and feeding.
• Document care provided as directed and in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintain patients’ environments, work areas, and equipment, and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete and maintain the required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participate in selected unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
