About The Position

The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct care to residents, including hygiene and activities of daily living, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role performs direct care activities that may be delegated to unlicensed personnel under the New York State Practice Act, applicable regulations, hospital policies, New York State Long Term Care regulations, and Nursing Services standards. The Certified Nurse Aide also performs assigned unit or department support functions as directed by the appropriate Registered Nurse and/or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or obtain one within two years of hire.
• Completion of a New York State-approved Long Term Care training program.
• Current New York State Nurse Aide certification.
• Meet all pre-employment screening and physical requirements.

• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities
