About The Position

Springs Valley Meadows is offering free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training through the ASC Nurse Aide Training Program. The program is intended for people who want to provide compassionate care to residents and ultimately work an evening shift. No previous experience is required. Training takes place over two weeks and includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 45 hours of hands-on clinical training, supported by ASC instructors, nurses, and CNAs. After completing the program and testing, participants may apply for a position at an American Senior Communities location in Indiana. Further pathways and opportunities are available for those who want to advance their nursing careers.

Requirements

Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
Complete the two-week training program, including 30 classroom hours and 45 hours of hands-on clinical training, and complete testing.
Individuals are sought who will ultimately work evening shift.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, brushing teeth, and shaving.
Help residents at mealtimes, including transporting them to the dining room and assisting with eating and drinking.
Reposition and transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and toilets.
Obtain and record resident vital signs, such as heart rate and blood pressure, and other observations.
Answer resident call lights and help fulfill requests.
Provide care and companionship while building meaningful relationships with residents.
