CNA Trainee Program
About The Position
UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is offering a PAID CNA Trainee Program where participants get paid $20.00 per hour while in training. Upon certification, pay increases to a range of $21.12/hr - $24.27/hr based on prior experience. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid out in increments over the first year, along with mileage incentives. The program is a 4-week, full-time commitment, Monday-Friday from 7 am to 3 pm, with mandatory perfect attendance. Candidates interested in gaining additional experience before the program can work as a Unit Helper at the same hourly rate. The training is hosted in Geneva, NY, but certified CNAs can work at any of their long-term care facilities in Geneva, Waterloo, and Penn Yan, with both part-time and full-time employment options available.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Current New York State Nurse Aide Certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or GED
- Prior Nursing Assistant and/or LTC experience
Responsibilities
- Performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by the certification, under the direction of licensed nursing personnel.
