About The Position

As a CNA Trainee at UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health, you will be supported by a team of empathetic and caring leaders, who will help you succeed and advance in your career! Get paid to get your CNA! UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is offering a PAID CNA Trainee Program!! We offer an hourly rate of 20.00 while you are being trained in the class. Once you are certified, pay increases! Pay ranges from 21.12/hr-25.24/hr based on prior experience. $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS! Paid out in increments over your first year as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with us! We also offer mileage incentives! The program is for 4 weeks, hosted Monday-Friday from 7a-3p. Mandatory, perfect attendance is enforced. Classes fill up fast so apply today! Candidates that are interested in getting additional experience are welcome to join us as Unit Helper before the program starts. Unit Helpers are paid an hourly rate of 20.00, same rate you make as a student in the class! The program is hosted in Geneva, NY however, once you become certified, you can be hired to work at all one of our long-term care facilities - we have a location in Geneva, Waterloo and Penn Yan NY. All locations are offering part-time and full-time employment! Available shifts: Evenings (3p-11p), Nights (11p-7a), Day/Evening (7a-3p/3p-11p) Rotational Shift, Day/Night (7a-3p/11p-7a) Rotational Shift. Upcoming CNA Training Program Dates 2026: August 11 – September 18 - FILLED!, September 29 – November 6, November 10 – December 18. Under the direction of the licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by the certification.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English
• Current New York State Nurse Aide Certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or GED
• Prior Nursing Assistant and/or LTC experience
