About The Position

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Hospice CNA/STNA to provide compassionate care in patients’ homes in the Xenia, Ohio central territory, including Xenia, Wilmington, Jamestown, and Dayton. The role provides personal care, comfort, and support to patients and their families during hospice care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position involves working independently with support from the hospice team.

Requirements

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice.
• Have a minimum of six months of experience, including providing personal care.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Complete at least 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training; 16 classroom hours must be completed before the required 16 hours of practical training.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
• Be able to read and follow written instructions and document care provided.
• Understand hospice philosophy and be comfortable providing specialized care to terminally ill patients.
• Be able to work with little direct supervision.
• Be able to handle death and dying.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Have good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, range-of-motion exercises, and safe equipment use.
• Help patients with self-administered medications in accordance with state regulations.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families.
• Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team.
