Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA
About The Position
Otterbein is seeking a skilled, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) to provide person-centered care in a community that values residents’ choices and employees’ expertise. The role provides support to residents with everyday activities and helps them remain comfortable and as independent as possible. Care and support services are provided under the supervision of a nurse. The position is at Otterbein’s Loveland Small House Neighborhood. Openings are available for full-time and part-time work on first, second, or third shift, as well as PRN. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour and increases with experience. Shift differentials are $3.00 per hour for second shift and $1.50 per hour for third shift.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio.
- Must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
- Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with day-to-day activities, including bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
- Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
- Help residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible in their daily lives.
- Complete accurate, efficient, and timely care documentation.
- Plan and cook residents’ favorite foods and share meals with them.
- Perform laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
- Perform other duties as needs arise or as assigned.
