About The Position
Parker at Somerset is hiring a part-time CNA/Resident Attendant to provide direct resident and patient care in a post-acute rehabilitation and nursing care residence. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding, while supporting high-quality, person-centered care in a caring and compassionate environment. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every other weekend. Parker at Somerset is a 120-bed post-acute rehabilitation and nursing home in Somerset, New Jersey. The residence provides long-term nursing care and post-acute rehabilitation, including round-the-clock skilled and sub-acute nursing services. It describes its environment as comfortable and home-like, with person-centered care that respects residents’ preferences.
Requirements
- CNA certification in good standing from the State of New Jersey, or certification from another state with approved reciprocity.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Ability to deal with others in a diplomatic, tactful, and confidential manner.
- Ability to move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally assist with lifting or transferring elders weighing an average of 150 pounds.
- Ability to move about and between small homes.
- Flu vaccination is required during flu season.
