About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring CNAs and PCAs to provide companion-focused, personalized in-home care to regular clients in Mint Hill and nearby East Charlotte. Caregivers work with one client at a time in the client’s home, typically for several hours, and are matched with clients based on personality and needs. The agency aims to maintain consistent caregiver-client matches and regular weekly schedules. The role combines companionship and emotional support with personal care and practical assistance. Home care experience is preferred but not required; dependability, warmth, and willingness to learn are emphasized. The agency describes its approach as compassionate, dependable care that helps people remain safe, independent, and comfortable at home, with dignity, respect, and personalized support. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with pay of $16–$18 per hour.

Requirements

Active North Carolina CNA certification or PCA experience.
Reliable transportation.

Ability to follow care plans and instructions promptly and completely.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship, engagement, and emotional support.
Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide mobility assistance and maintain awareness of fall risks.
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Observe and report changes in the client’s condition.
Follow care plans and instructions promptly and completely.
