DSP Independent Contractor Mint Hill (CS)
About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as an independent contractor to provide respite services to an adult male with developmental disabilities in Mint Hill, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The position provides six hours of support per week on Saturdays, with any six-hour Saturday schedule. The pay rate is $16.07 per hour. The DSP provides companionship, care, and support, including assistance in home living environments, community integration, social-role development, healthy social habits, medication dispensing and dosage monitoring, and transportation to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities. This is an independent contractor position. Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party contract management vendor for direct deposits. Contractors are responsible for fees for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and the contract management vendor’s administrative services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

- One to two years of experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) population.
Responsibilities
- Provide respite services for six hours per week on Saturdays.
