About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a CNA or PCA to provide dependable, compassionate non-medical in-home care to clients in Matthews, North Carolina, and nearby communities. The agency matches caregivers with regular clients so trust can grow over time. Caregivers are expected to arrive reliably, take an interest in clients’ lives, follow care plans, communicate changes to the office and family, and behave professionally in each home. The role includes companionship and assistance with personal care, meals, household organization, errands, and appointments, as well as accurate visit documentation. New caregivers receive orientation, an introduction to their client before or during their first visit, and regular office check-ins. The position offers steady client assignments, compatibility-based matching, and consistent weekly availability; it is not PRN. Full-time and part-time openings are available.

Requirements

Active North Carolina CNA certification or PCA.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Consistent weekly availability; this role is not PRN.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions promptly.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship through conversation, activities, walks, and outings.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Prepare meals and help keep the home clean and organized.
Run errands and accompany clients to appointments.
Document each visit accurately and on time.
Arrive on time for every visit and take a genuine interest in clients’ stories, interests, and daily lives.
Follow care plans carefully and complete tasks correctly.
Keep the office and family informed when something changes.
Maintain a professional manner in each home.
