About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring CNAs and PCAs to provide non-medical home care in Matthews, North Carolina, and nearby communities. The agency is family- and veteran-owned and matches caregivers with regular clients so trust can develop over time. Caregivers provide companionship and assistance with daily activities while following care plans, communicating with the office and families, and documenting visits.

The role includes orientation on agency standards, care plans, and home care, an introduction to the client before or during the first visit, and regular office check-ins. The agency offers a schedule caregivers can plan around, compatibility-based client matching, steady client assignments, and growth opportunities. Full-time and part-time openings are available; the position is not PRN.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina CNA certification or PCA qualification.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Consistent weekly availability; this role is not PRN.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions promptly.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for every visit.
• Take a genuine interest in clients’ stories, interests, and daily lives.
• Follow care plans and complete tasks correctly.
• Keep the office and family informed when something changes.
• Conduct oneself professionally in clients’ homes.
• Provide companionship through conversation, activities, walks, and outings.
• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and help keep the home clean and organized.
• Run errands and accompany clients to appointments.
• Document each visit accurately and on time.
