About The Position
The CNA / PCA In-Home Caregiver provides hands-on care and support to seniors in private homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and memory care settings. The role is presented as an opportunity for nursing students to gain relevant, real-world patient-care experience while pursuing their education. Scheduling is flexible based on client needs and caregiver availability, with support from a local team. Paid training and development, advancement opportunities, and same-day pay are also offered.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, dependable, respectful, patient, and professional.
- Have nursing student, CNA, PCA, or caregiver qualifications or credentials as required.
- Have personal care and activities-of-daily-living experience.
- Maintain reliable attendance and communicate clearly.
- Respect clients' dignity, privacy, preferences, and homes.
- Follow care plans and report changes or concerns.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Hoyer lifts, transfers, Foley care, hospice or bed-bound care, companionship, meal preparation, or light housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Assist with ambulation, positioning, transfers, and gait belt or Hoyer lift use when appropriate.
- Prepare meals and provide companionship, social engagement, and light housekeeping.
- Transport or accompany clients to errands and medical appointments.
- Provide medication reminders and prescribed range-of-motion assistance.
- Assist with blood glucose monitoring, Foley care, bed-bound care, and hospice supportive care when trained and appropriate.
- Follow the care plan and report changes, concerns, or safety issues.
