About The Position

Hospice of the Valley is a mission-driven, not-for-profit hospice serving the Phoenix metropolitan area. The CNA or Caregiver works in the Eckstein Palliative Care inpatient unit, a 12-bed facility in North Scottsdale, caring for patients whose symptoms cannot be managed at home and patients needing respite care while a family caregiver is away. The nursing assistant provides individualized, quality personal care, including bathing, grooming, and other personal-care needs, and develops connections that support patients and families. The role works with an interdisciplinary team of professionals in an inpatient setting.

Requirements

• Current Arizona C.N.A. or Caregiver.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solution-driven, creative, and resourceful problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time well and perform assigned duties with attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospice experience.
• CHPNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships.
