About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Unit Clerk to join the nursing team on its Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit. The unit has 18 critical care beds and 17 step-down beds and cares for postoperative patients, as well as patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders. This part-time role is scheduled for 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The CNA/Unit Clerk supports clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination duties. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the position also provides nursing care and related non-professional services to address patients’ personal needs and comfort.

Requirements

Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Have Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for assigned age groups: neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, as applicable.
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Six months of patient-care experience in an acute-care setting.
