About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides delegated direct nursing care to individual patients and, when appropriate, their significant others. The CNA organizes delegated aspects of care to support the RN in efficiently meeting patient needs.

This position is 32 hours per week. Hours are weekdays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school for Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Currently listed on the CNA Registry in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• Meet health requirements.
• Ability to work in an acute care patient environment with appropriate technological support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly.
• Decision-making, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Recognize legal responsibilities and functions specified by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling objects or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated direct nursing care to individual patients and, when appropriate, their significant others.
• Organize delegated aspects of care to support the RN in meeting patient needs efficiently.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and care, and help transport patients and move equipment.
