About The Position

The Med/Surg Department is seeking a dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The CNA provides delegated direct nursing care to individual patients and, when appropriate, their significant others. The CNA organizes delegated aspects of care to support the RN in efficiently meeting patient needs. This position is 24 hours per week, with weekday hours from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school for Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Currently listed on the CNA Registry in the state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Meet health requirements.
• Ability to work in an acute care patient environment with appropriate technological support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly.
• Decision-making, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Recognize legal responsibilities and perform functions specified by the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated direct nursing care to individual patients and, when appropriate, their significant others.
• Organize delegated aspects of care to support the RN in meeting patient needs efficiently.
• Assist with patient care, including transferring and positioning patients and maneuvering equipment.
