About The Position

Caris Healthcare’s Certified Nursing Assistant / Hospice Aide provides compassionate, supportive, and physical care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. The role involves assisting patients with personal care, encouraging and supporting patients and families, and communicating patient observations to the hospice team. Certification is required. Caris Healthcare provides hospice care throughout the Southeast region and describes its mission as providing hospice care with grace. Requirements

Successful completion of a Certified Nurse Aide program with current certification.
Good standing with state regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well with a team and independently with minimal direct supervision.
Proficient computer and technology skills.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, exercise, and ambulation to patients in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Use safety techniques and proper body mechanics when administering care, transferring patients, and performing other work responsibilities.
Take and record vital signs or other metrics as instructed.
Record and report changes in patients’ mental and physical status to the RN.
Participate in weekend rotation for scheduled visits.
Prepare light meals, launder, and perform other household services essential to patients’ health care.
Maintain twelve hours of educational requirements.
