About The Position
Spoon River Home Health Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver who wants to make a difference and brings strong time-management skills and a positive attitude. The role provides one-on-one care and opportunities to learn and grow. Flexible hours are available, with varied shifts that may include evenings and weekends. Pay is $16–$17.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs and perform physical care tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation.
- Kind, patient, and dependable.
- Available for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Willing to follow health and safety standards.
- High school diploma, GED, or current enrollment in school.
- Dedicated to providing high-quality care.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in home care, healthcare, or hospitality.
- CNA certification or enrollment in a CNA program.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene needs, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Help with mobility, errands, doctor visits, and walks.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Support therapy exercises.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Respond responsibly in emergencies and report concerns.
- Offer companionship and engaging activities to enhance quality of life.
