About The Position

The Iowa Clinic is hiring a full-time CMA, LPN, or RN to provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physicians, following established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures. The role works Monday through Friday during standard clinic hours and floats among Primary Care facilities in Urbandale, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Waukee, Johnston, Altoona, and Indianola. Duties include assessing patient care needs, rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers with triage and care planning, and returning patient calls. The role emphasizes attentive, compassionate patient care and collaboration with the care team.

Requirements

Iowa RN license, CMA (AAMA) certification, or LPN license.
Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
Exceptional patient skills.
Ability to prepare and maintain records.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) in accordance with established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' care needs.
Room patients and take vital signs.
Assist providers with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses or problem lists, and formulate an initial plan of care based on assessment data.
Return patient calls and ensure patients feel valued and cared for.
Prepare and maintain records.
Assist providers in a professional manner.
