About The Position
The Medical Assistant administers nursing care to patients using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. The role also includes instructing patients and their significant others in health care practices and collaborating with other members of the health team. The position requires skill in caring for patients of all age groups.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program.
- CMA certification required.
- Ability to type 30 words per minute with three errors or fewer.
- Experience gained through an approved technical school, plus an appropriate period of hospital orientation to the assigned patient care area and personnel.
