About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events, participates in short-term assignments, and supports seasonal events throughout the year. The role focuses on delivering a world-class customer service experience, helping customers make purchasing decisions, and supporting store programs and events. The associate also facilitates in-house outdoor skills workshops and maintains a clean, neat, and safe work area. This is a seasonal, part-time position under general supervision, with duties performed using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment with children and parents.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to communicate with others to exchange information.
• Ability to occasionally climb ladders, stairs, or ramps; perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions; work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, and noisy environments.
• Ability to perform light work that may occasionally require lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a pleasant and productive shopping experience and world-class customer service.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events.
• Facilitate in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in store events as scheduled.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
