About The Position

The Club Attendant supports member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks that keep the facility healthy, clean, and orderly. The role works with the Facilities Technician and reports to the General Manager, while regularly interacting with club management, team members, and members. Travel between clubs may be required. The job description notes that duties may be modified, added, or removed as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• At least six months of janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Regularly stand, walk, and use hands and arms; frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external members by telephone.
• Ability to use cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts and occasional loud noise.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout club areas, including locker rooms, weight and cardio areas, offices, hallways, and stairs.
• Clean and dust weight and cardio equipment.
• Restock supplies and empty garbage and recycling containers.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly scope-of-work tasks and special cleaning projects.
• Clean and maintain wet areas where applicable, including pool decks, pools, steam rooms, and saunas, and conduct regular pool chemical testing.
• Perform minor cosmetic equipment repairs, such as rust removal, touch-up painting, and relabeling.
• Partner with the Facilities Technician to clean equipment according to the preventative maintenance guide.
• Perform minor painting when approved or directed by the General Manager and Facilities Technician.
• Use janitorial supplies according to product labels and club manuals.
• Report newly identified facility maintenance issues through Service Channel.
• Report member complaints to the General Manager.
