About The Position

Many Hands Thrift is seeking a personable, organized Processor to help turn donated goods into resources that support people in need through the ministry of Many Hands. The role involves receiving donations, sorting and evaluating items, assigning fair prices, and preparing attractive displays for the sales floor. The Processor also assists with cashiering as needed and provides customer service to donors and shoppers. The job offers a structured, routine workflow in a social, mission-focused environment.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to engage persuasively with others.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for sorting, pricing, and displaying items accurately.
• Patience and a methodical approach to routine tasks in an orderly, systematic work environment.
• Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and organized displays using a sense of style.
• A sense of clothing style and value.
• Ability to accurately determine the value of donated items.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly receive donated items from donors.
• Sort and evaluate a wide range of donated items and assign fair prices.
• Assess item condition and ensure only suitable goods are placed on the sales floor.
• Organize items and create attractive, eye-catching store displays.
• Assist with cashiering as needed and provide excellent customer service.
• Positively represent Many Hands’ mission, vision, and core values to customers and donors.
