About The Position

The Clothing Aide is a full-time, hourly position supporting the Clothing Department and reporting to the Clothing Supervisor. The role manages student and client clothing inventories, assists with moves between residences, delivers items, coordinates laundry services, maintains records in the student database, and runs departmental errands. Driving is required, and the position may involve overtime and schedule flexibility. The role combines administrative, inventory-management, transportation, and direct-support duties to help ensure students and clients have appropriate clothing and personal belongings while maintaining safety, organization, and compliance with JRC procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with moderate supervision and use basic computer applications.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday and frequently lift, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical activities.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Normal or corrected vision, including depth perception and color vision.

• Preferred experience in a nonprofit educational or residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student/client clothing is properly inventoried and distributed.
• Conduct clothing checks before and after home visits.
• Maintain accurate records and database entries.
• Transport clothing and personal items between school and residences.
• Assist with moves between residences and deliver items.
• Coordinate laundry services and run departmental errands.
• Support student/client safety and welfare.
• Report abuse as required.
• Follow and enforce clothing-related procedures and dress code standards.
• Participate in departmental communication, including Discussion Board postings.
