About The Position

Many Hands Thrift is seeking a social, organized, and mission-focused Processor to turn donated goods into resources that support people in need through the ministry of Many Hands. The role involves receiving donations, sorting and evaluating items, setting prices, and creating attractive store displays. The Processor also helps with cashiering as needed and provides customer service to donors and customers. The work offers a systematic, routine workflow in a stable, people-focused environment.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate the value of the organization's mission.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for sorting, pricing, and displaying items.
• Patience and a methodical approach to routine, systematic work.
• Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and organized displays using a sense of style.
• Interest in clothing style and value.
• Ability to accurately determine the value of donated items.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly receive donated items from donors.
• Sort and evaluate a wide variety of donated items and assign fair, accurate prices.
• Assess the condition of items and ensure only suitable goods are placed on the sales floor.
• Organize merchandise and create attractive, eye-catching displays.
• Assist with cashiering as needed and provide excellent customer service.
• Positively represent the ministry of Many Hands, including its mission, vision, and core values, to customers and donors.
