Clinician I/II/III - Fairbanks - Up to $20,000 Signing Bonus
About The Position
Alaska Behavioral Health is seeking a Clinician I, II, or Senior Licensed Clinician for its Partial Hospitalization Program in Fairbanks. This multi-disciplinary team serves children ages 9-17 with acute needs or those not responding to lower levels of care, and will be expanding to serve adults. The program focuses on medication management, intensive therapy, and skill-building to help clients regain stability, improve quality of life, and avoid higher levels of care. Alaska Behavioral Health is a National Child Traumatic Stress Network site and training hub for childhood mental health and trauma treatment.
Requirements
- Master or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field (Clinician I, II)
- Licensed Clinician (LPC, LMFT, LCSW required) (Clinician II)
- Earned Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited university and an APA accredited program, or a Master’s degree in social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or a Master’s degree in counseling and licensed to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) (Senior Licensed Clinician)
- Experience working with SED clients, and experience with providing trauma-informed care (Senior Licensed Clinician)
- 7-10 years clinical experience providing direct services as a psychotherapist (Senior Licensed Clinician)
- At least two years providing clinical supervision (Senior Licensed Clinician)

- AKBH can assist with providing licensure on site for Unlicensed Clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, individual, family, and group therapy
- Evaluate crisis situations promptly and provide necessary services to effectively resolve crisis; conduct clinical evaluations to determine risk and appropriate level of care
- Participate in regular individual and group supervision
- Provide behavioral health services using evidenced-based practices including CBT
- Provide supervision for BSW level providers (Clinician II)
- Provide Clinical Supervision for unlicensed providers (Senior Licensed Clinician)
- Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with internal & external standards and regulations; documenting progress for each service provided and review and update treatment plans as specified (Senior Licensed Clinician)
