Position Title: Clinical Year Faculty Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant program Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Educator to join our Physician Assistant Program. The ideal candidate will excel in both independent and team-based environments, contributing to teaching, scholarship, and service activities while supporting the clinical and didactic phases of the program.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher
- Current NCCPA certification
- Current GA license or eligible for GA license
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Interest in the program mission
- Effective communication skills and able to use various communication tools
- Able to effectively work independently as well as in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Preferably minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Clinical preceptor experience
- Faculty experience preferably in PA education
Responsibilities
- Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities
- Plan, coordinate, and develop the clinical year curriculum
- Provide academic advisement and mentorship to students
- Engage in ongoing faculty development
- Coordinate with and support the didactic year
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and planning
- Assist in ongoing program evaluation and accreditation compliance
- Foster collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Serve as an ambassador for the University, School, and Program through outreach, and/or participation in internal and external service activities
- Assist in the student admissions process
- Assist in grading student assignments
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the program director
