About The Position

The Clinical Triage RN/LPN/MA/RT works in Centralized Access Operations at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, a standalone, not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. The role responds to patient calls, assesses conditions and medical histories to determine urgency and appropriate care, coordinates with providers and specialists, documents interactions and interventions, and escalates concerns to clinical staff. The position requires sound clinical judgment, effective prioritization, and adherence to healthcare regulations, protocols, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Current Missouri RN license, current Missouri LPN IV-Certified license, RMA, or RT.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Associate's degree.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Thorough knowledge of ethical and legal billing procedures.
• Previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls in a warm, friendly manner.
• Assess patients' conditions and medical histories to determine urgency and the appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and specialists as necessary.
• Accurately and thoroughly document patient interactions, assessments, and interventions.
• Escalate patient concerns through workload messages, noting applicable conditions and requests for clinical staff.
• Multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, protocols, and quality standards.
