About The Position
The Clinical Technician II works under the direct supervision of an RN and is an active member of the health care team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the technician performs routine patient-care duties, including direct care and activities of daily living. The role also involves observing changes in patients’ status, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and performing related duties. Clinical Technicians are expected to be empathetic and have good communication and nursing skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Equivalent experience.
- Six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent clinical experience as defined in the CORE skills for Clinical Technician II; completion of or enrollment in a Clinical Technician II program or equivalent; or student nurses who have successfully completed medical/surgical clinical experiences and didactic coursework.
- BLS certification.
- At least six education hours related to the current role.
- Empathy and good communication and nursing skills.
