Clinical Technician 1 - ICU Med Surg
About The Position
Inova Alexandria Hospital’s ICU Med Surg is seeking a Clinical Technician to provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses. The role includes communicating effectively with team members, patients, and visitors, and maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is full-time, working nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with rotating days, weekends, and holidays. New hires must attend the Clinical Technician Academy, which includes six classroom-style sessions in Falls Church, Virginia, one virtual orientation day, and one virtual EPIC training session. Training dates are preset and non-negotiable. Current Inova Clinical Technicians and rehires under one year are exempt from the Academy. The first week requires a Monday–Friday schedule regardless of the position’s normal schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
