About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 to join its ICU - Med Surg team. The role provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and involves communicating effectively with team members, patients, and visitors while maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position with rotating day and night shifts, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM and 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. The schedule includes rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The employee must be available for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
