Clinical Technician 1 – Physical Rehab
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital – Physical Rehab is seeking a Clinical Technician to provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses. The role involves communicating effectively with team members, patients, and visitors, and maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is full-time with rotating shifts of 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m., including rotating days, weekends, and holidays. New hires must complete the Clinical Technician Academy, consisting of six classroom-style sessions in Falls Church, Virginia (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.), one virtual orientation day (9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.), and one virtual EPIC training session (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.). Training dates are set and non-negotiable. Current Inova Clinical Technicians and rehires with less than one year away are exempt from the Academy. The first week is a required Monday–Friday schedule, regardless of the position’s normal schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
