Clinical Supervisor - RN Hybrid
About The Position
Aveanna Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor to oversee and support the delivery of home health care to medically fragile children and adults. The role combines administrative work—including internal case management, patient intake and discharge, start-of-care processes, and nurse competency validation—with field-based visits to patients’ homes to mentor and guide staff. The supervisor works with clinical and operational teams to promote safe, high-quality care and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. Work is hybrid, with time at a branch office as needed and in-home visits.
Requirements
- Hold an RN license in good standing in the state where the clinician will practice.
- Have at least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience.
- Be able to travel to patients’ homes in the designated territory.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, and pass an MVR check.
- Hold current CPR certification from AHA or ARC.
- Be willing to supervise caregivers providing care to infants, children, adolescents, and/or adults.
Responsibilities
- Provide internal case management, evaluation, education, and development of nursing talent.
- Participate in patient transitions from facilities to home through start-of-care assessments and reevaluations.
- Review physicians’ orders and update plans of care and documentation as needed.
- Assist with selecting, training, and validating new clinical staff.
- Promote and enhance staff clinical expertise to support safe, high-quality nursing care.
- Collaborate with the operations and business development team.
- Ensure adherence to state, federal, and local regulations and Aveanna policies and procedures.
- Mentor and provide professional guidance to field staff during patient-home visits.
