Clinical RN I & II, Med/Surg
About The Position
Gunnison Valley Health is seeking a Med/Surg registered nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality inpatient care. The role involves assessing patients, monitoring health and potential complications, documenting care, coordinating patient needs and delivering organized care within the scope of practice. The position is full time and works three 12-hour shifts per week. Evening, night and weekend shift differentials may apply. Nurses may increase compensation through the Clinical Ladder Program, which recognizes organizational engagement, professional development, leadership, and contributions to quality and patient safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing from an accredited school.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Current Colorado state or compact nursing license.
- RN I is an entry-level position designed for new graduates or nurses with minimal experience; RN II is for a proficient nurse with established foundational skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of inpatients, monitor their health, and identify potential risks or complications.
- Document required information in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.
- Coordinate, order, and meet multiple patient needs and requests by managing workflow and using team resources.
- Deliver quality care in an organized manner within the scope of practice.
- Monitor vital signs, assist with medical procedures, and offer emotional support.
