The research associate will support the Division of Cardiac Surgery, providing analysis and interpretation of cardiac surgery metrics and outcomes related to research trials. This role is directly involved with sponsored and non-sponsored research trials related to various aspects of cardiac surgery. The associate will assist with SOP development, grant and protocol development, and actively participate in the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for scientific publications. This position supports and collaborates with UH Cardiac Surgeons, cardiothoracic fellows, medical students, and other UH scientists on research projects. Additionally, the associate will assist with research workshops, academic research collaborations with Universities, and animal laboratory research. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and adhering to all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients, including annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures.
