About The Position

Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive psychiatric residential treatment facility for children and adolescents. We are seeking a Clinical Program Manager in a hospital/psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with children and adolescents with Autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those who are moderately to severely affected by Autism. A basic knowledge of child growth and development, mental health, and developmental disorders is required. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer position.

Requirements

  • Requires one of the following: LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
  • Requires training in a recognized mental health field.
  • Experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
  • Written and oral communications skills.
  • Skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychiatric needs as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice.
  • Knowledge of acute adolescent/child psychological disorders.
  • Knowledge of advanced principles of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to the population.
  • Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to children.
  • Skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to treat other age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training, orientation program.
  • Must have the ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical programs to include discharges, milieu programming, and the therapeutic product.
  • Supervise interns once per week and create an agenda to follow.
  • Participate in internship recruitment.
