About The Position

Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients. We oversee the medication storage, distribution, and management in a variety of settings. We review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions, accurately prepare and dispense medications, provide evidence-based drug information, monitor drug levels to optimize therapy, and educate patients and families about their medications. By prioritizing medication safety and minimizing adverse events, we strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to their overall well-being.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Pharm.D. degree in pharmacy
• 1 year of relevant experience pharmacy experience (or equivalent)
• LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required
• LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required

Responsibilities

• Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements.
• Provides safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs.
• Assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.
• Participates in department directed medication management activities consistent with Beaumont Health goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and demonstrating a personal commitment to professional growth.
• Supports management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas and will participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities.
