About The Position

The Clinical Outreach Specialist serves as a trusted resource for adolescent and young adult behavioral healthcare in the community. The role identifies market strategy, builds and strengthens professional relationships, and develops opportunities to increase Newport Healthcare’s reach. The specialist responds to service and referral inquiries and supports referring professionals and families from the initial call through admission, ensuring communication and care coordination. The role also develops healthcare-sector accounts, builds awareness of the organization’s services, and generates business opportunities through professional outreach and community partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or a closely related field, or a minimum of two years of direct experience in a behavioral health setting or pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with communication principles, practices, and techniques applicable to a healthcare environment.
• Extensive experience creating, maintaining, and delivering marketing strategies to meet objectives.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer experience.
• Live in or close enough to the designated territory to visit assigned locations promptly and regularly.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to service and referral inquiries and support referring professionals and families from the first call through admission, ensuring communication and care coordination.
• Identify and prospect new healthcare-sector accounts, build relationships with medical professionals, increase awareness of the organization’s services, and generate business opportunities.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with target-market decision makers to identify needs, address barriers to treatment, and create community partnerships.
• Plan and attend facility tours, professional weekends, and other events for target-market decision makers, as well as conferences and networking events on behalf of Newport Healthcare.
• Collaborate with the national team of Clinical Outreach Specialists, including participating in weekly team calls and quarterly field rides.
