About The Position

Thousand Branches Wellness, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), provides outpatient mental health treatment for adolescents and adults. The Clinical Outreach Liaison supports community outreach and referral engagement for the organization’s intensive outpatient mental health program in Naperville, Illinois. The role executes assigned outreach activities with a clinical perspective, helping referral partners identify appropriate levels of care and connecting providers with treatment services.

This is a field-based, externally focused position. It does not include responsibility for internal program operations, staffing, or clinical service delivery. Evening and/or weekend hours may be needed for community events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active licensure or registration strongly preferred.
• 1–3+ years of experience in behavioral health; clinical, case management, or utilization review experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health diagnoses and levels of care, including IOP, PHP, and residential care.
• Established relationships within the behavioral health community.
• Experience with CRM or referral tracking systems.
• Strong ability to translate clinical knowledge into practical guidance for referral partners.
• Consistent and reliable execution of outreach activities.
• High level of organization and follow-through.
• Comfort working within established outreach direction and priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
• Clinical, case management, or utilization review experience preferred.
• Active licensure or registration strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned outreach plans with a focus on clinically appropriate referral development.
• Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, including therapists, psychiatrists, hospitals, and community providers.
• Conduct regular in-person outreach, meetings, and follow-ups to maintain a strong community presence.
• Collaborate with Admissions and clinical teams to support appropriate and timely referral transitions.
• Track outreach activity and referral trends to support consistency and follow-through.
