About The Position

This is a part-time, 0.10 FTE position for a 10-month program. The schedule will mimic the preceptor. The role involves technical and clinical work related to patient assessment, nutrition-focused physical exams, and food service operation management. The program is designed for individuals passionate about patient nutrition and offers an opportunity to work at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin.

Requirements

  • Technical nutrition knowledge and abilities obtained in a four (4) year undergraduate degree program or four (4) year undergraduate degree program in dietetics, food and/or nutrition or related sciences that is accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.

  • Experience in food and nutrition service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to screen for nutrition risk.
  • Obtain diet history.
  • Explain food/drug interactions.
  • Plan menus consistent with diet orders.
  • Develop and implement nutrition interventions.
  • Perform tasks and complete responsibilities related to food service operations and management.
