About The Position

Youth Villages offers paid internship opportunities for master's students in select residential and community-based programs. Placement is determined during the interview process based on availability, academic requirements, and the student's experience. Youth Villages collaborates with interns and their academic programs to design an internship that meets practicum needs and class schedules and supports course credit. Internships are offered during the fall and spring semesters, with select Tennessee locations also offering summer internships. Offers are made on a rolling basis, and placement availability is limited. The Master's Level Intern shadows counselors during home- and community-based family sessions, carries a reduced caseload, implements interventions, and facilitates individual, group, and/or family therapy.
