About The Position

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Marketing Nurse Liaison to join their skilled team of pediatric professionals in Marlton, NJ. This position is benefit eligible. Weisman Children's is a highly-acclaimed, community-based pediatric organization consisting of an acute care rehabilitation hospital, outpatient rehabilitation centers, and medical day care centers. They specialize in delivering individualized, family-centered care by including family and caregivers in every step of the rehab process, along with an interdisciplinary approach to treatment. The Clinical Marketing Nurse Liaison serves as a clinical representative of Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital and Voorhees Pediatric Facility, developing and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources, patients and families, healthcare professionals, community organizations, payers, and other strategic partners. This role combines clinical expertise with relationship management, patient and family engagement, referral development, community outreach, marketing, and admission coordination. The liaison educates referral partners, prospective patients, and families about the organizations’ programs, services, clinical capabilities, admission criteria, care environments, and available resources. A central responsibility of the role is guiding prospective patients and families through the decision-making process. This includes meeting with families to understand their individual needs and concerns, providing personalized facility tours, answering clinical and practical questions, and clearly explaining how the organizations’ services may support the patient’s care needs and goals. Through these interactions, the Clinical Marketing Nurse Liaison helps patients and families feel informed, welcomed, and confident in their decisions while ensuring that all information provided is accurate, transparent, and clinically appropriate. The Clinical Marketing Nurse Liaison also identifies patients who may benefit from the organizations’ services and facilitates timely, effective communication among patients, families, referral partners, and internal clinical and admissions teams. The position develops and manages a portfolio of referral accounts, identifies opportunities for organizational growth, and implements targeted outreach strategies aligned with the organizations’ strategic and business objectives. To support these responsibilities, the Clinical Marketing Nurse Liaison maintains a thorough understanding of the healthcare market, referral patterns, competitor activity, payer requirements, patient acuity trends, and the factors that influence patient and family placement decisions. The position supports the referral-to-admission process and must be able to perform the clinical assessment, communication, and coordination responsibilities assigned to the role for both organizations.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical healthcare experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology, patient assessment, care coordination, discharge planning, and healthcare delivery systems.
  • Ability to interpret clinical information and communicate it clearly to healthcare professionals, patients, families, and nonclinical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage patients and families, establish trust, explain services, respond to concerns, and support informed healthcare decisions.
  • Demonstrated initiative, independent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple accounts, referrals, family meetings, facility tours, projects, and deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other standard business technology.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned service area and visit hospitals, healthcare facilities, community organizations, and referral accounts.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance consistent with organizational requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Nurse licensure strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related healthcare field.
  • Two or more years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development, clinical liaison services, admissions, case management, care coordination, or referral development.
  • Experience in pediatric rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term care, complex pediatric care, acute care, post-acute care, or another related clinical setting.
  • Experience working with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians, managed care organizations, insurance carriers, and community providers.
  • Experience meeting with prospective patients and families, conducting facility tours, or supporting healthcare placement and admission decisions.
  • Experience using a customer relationship management system.
  • Experience conducting clinical presentations, educational programs, professional outreach, community events, or family education.
  • Familiarity with payer authorization processes, medical necessity requirements, referral workflows, and transitions of care.
