About The Position

Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton is hiring a Clinical Liaison (RN, OT, PT, or SLP) for the Dallas/Plano/Frisco territory. The role works in local acute care hospitals to explain rehabilitation goals and services to patients, families, and healthcare staff; assess patients and review medical records; and coordinate safe, timely transfers to the rehabilitation hospital. The liaison also develops professional relationships and supports referral growth and admissions.

This highly visible role involves developing relationships with case managers, physicians, and clinicians at acute care hospitals; educating staff, patients, and families about rehabilitation services; assessing patients with rehabilitation diagnoses for admission; and managing the referral process. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rotating weekend coverage. The annual salary range starts at $74,000, depending on relevant work experience, with an uncapped monthly bonus opportunity.

Requirements

• Current and valid state licensure, or eligibility for state licensure, as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
• Multi-state licensure as required by the geographical territory.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency.
• Sound judgment when handling professional and confidential healthcare sales matters.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of related experience in a clinical healthcare setting or prior experience in a clinical liaison role.
• Competency in the preadmission process, including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation or other post-acute care setting.
• A proven sales and marketing track record, including at least one year of experience in a related position.

Responsibilities

• Create target lists of contacts and decision makers in assigned hospitals.
• Develop relationships with referral sources, provide excellent customer service, and educate them about hospital services.
• Promote referrer satisfaction and account retention.
• Educate potential patients and families about acute rehabilitation and program benefits.
• Distribute collateral materials appropriately.
• Support Sales and Marketing through educational programs, tours, and meetings at assigned hospitals.
• Develop strategies to grow market share in core business lines at assigned hospitals.
• Create quarterly goals and objectives and submit them to a supervisor.
• Work with the VP/Director of Business Development to identify opportunities to expand strategic business initiatives.
• Assess patients with rehabilitation diagnoses at referring hospitals for admission and manage the referral process.
• Review medical records and coordinate safe and timely transfers to the rehabilitation hospital.
