About The Position

The Clinical Liaison Registered Nurse develops the agency’s hospice presence among hospitals and healthcare providers. The role performs nursing assessments to evaluate whether patients are appropriate for hospice admission, and educates and consults with medical professionals about hospice programs, pain management, and reimbursement. The liaison also supports public relations, business development, projects, and compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
Two years of experience as an RN; experience in hospice or a healthcare/clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop a hospice presence in the healthcare community with hospitals and healthcare providers.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and evaluate appropriateness for hospice admission.
Develop, educate, and consult with medical professionals concerning hospice programs, pain management, and Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursements.
Establish public relations programs to interpret the agency’s services and foster good working relations with physicians and community agencies.
Implement specific projects and initiatives as directed.
Support new business development and assist Community Education Representatives with new account development when needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Ensure overall compliance with local, state, and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures.
